what could possibly go wrong?
Reminds me of two things.
1. The commuter trains (non high speed) in Japan. They are very intertwined into the community. With crossings all over the place for pedestrians. And the trains go by pretty quick.
2. The Amtrak trains near Jack London Square in Oakland. There you are, step out of the Barnes and Noble to head back uptown. And wham, right in from of you is a huge train. Goes right down the middle of the road. This is no light rail trolly thing. But a full blown train.
